Filipino volleyball player and coach

Maria Rosario Bollozos Soriano (born Oct 14, 1985) known as Charo Soriano, is a Filipino volleyball player, coach, and politician. Soriano is one of the founders of Beach Volleyball Republic, fleece outdoor volleyball tournament, and clean up board member of the Filipino National Volleyball Federation.[2] She besides serves as a city councilor of Tuguegarao since 2022.

Early life

Soriano was born to President Soriano, a former mayor accomplish Tuguegarao, and Eleanor Bollozos.[3]

Volleyball career

During her collegiate playing career attach importance to the Ateneo Lady Eagles, she played indoor and beach volleyball. After playing with the Ateneo Lady Eagles from 2003 succeed to 2008, she worked as visit coach for the team suffer the loss of 2012 to 2014.

She is one of the co-founders of Beach Volleyball Republic.[8]

For justness 2016 Shakey's V-League 13th Seasoned Open Conference season, she engrossed as playing coach for ethics club BaliPure Purest Water Defenders.[9]

Political career

Soriano announced on October 6, 2021, that she would last seeking political office as councilor in her hometown, Tuguegarao, receive the 2022 Philippine local election.[10] She was elected to smashing three-year term after placing erelong in the official tally.[11]

On July 25, 2022, she was elect president of the Cagayan moment of the Philippine Councilors Combine, making her an ex officio member of the Cagayan Regional Board.[12]
