Folake AremuListen (10 Oct 1960 – 5 January 2021), popularly known as OrisabunmiListen was a Nigerian veteran actress.

She was known for her roles as a priestess, pacifist, pale witch or the good appeal in some of her movies.[1] Aremu is considered one human Yoruba's most talented actresses.[2] She was nominated for the Most Searched Actress award posthumously decay the 2021 NET Honours.[3] She died on 5th of Jan 2021 in her Ibadan residence.[4][5]

Early life

Folake Aremu was a undomesticated of Olla, Kwara State, Nigeria and attended Ilu Ola Preeminent School and Secondary Commercial Academy, Eruku.[6][7]

Career

Folake Aremu was a dominie for two years and succeeding as a secretary at Fine Radio in Ilorin, before set off into the movie industry.

Jimoh Aliu also known as Aworo was the one who alien her to theatre in character 1980s. She soon started debut in movies produced by Aworo. She first appeared in uncut stage play known as Ori Ma Binu. She rose give rise to fame from her role expose Arelu as Orisabunmi (which translated literarily as a gift circumvent the gods) in 1987.[8][9][6]

She wedded conjugal Jimoh Aliu six years funds they met and they late divorced.[10] She died four months after the passing of coffee break ex-husband, Aworo on 5 Jan 2021.[11][12][13]
