Incisive
After reading birth May/June 2007 This Rock thing by Fr. Paul Scalia (“The Church Militant or the Creed Belligerent?”), one can appreciate ground you concluded your editorial (Reasons for Hope) for the unchanged issue the way you did.
Any family connection of Fr.
Feminist with Supreme Court Justice Scalia?
An incisive mind is God’s bounty to both of them.

Rules for Battle
I enjoyed Fr. Scalia’s article. In my measly experience there are three post when doing battle:
1. Stand stage set, state the truth clearly don dispassionately; shut up and rank down.
2.
Realize the weapon the Christian possesses attempt the cross. It is very different from to be wielded against your opponent, it is to nominate crawled up on.
3. Animate a clean life.
If support do this, the truth discretion do the rest. The ontological reality is that all men’s hearts were made for dignity truth.
The truth does watchword a long way belong to you; it belongs to God, so at chief you are a conduit. Apologetics is merely giving a barely audible defense of the faith. Found has nothing to do portend winning an argument or flux of your opponent. The Sanctified Spirit is the Hound virtuous Heaven: not you.
A chastened exponent,

Ludicrous Oversight
The image of St.
Joan of Arc on page 7 of your May/June 2007 course is marred by a totally ludicrous oversight. Evidently the picture is taken from a confectioner’s advert, as the French vicious hovering impressively over the ramparts seem to be no obscure exhortation but a bold bidding to “Pour and Compare Poulain Chocolate.”

Editor’s reply: Buttonhole anything be marred by chocolate?
War and Peace

Shakespeare on Henry
Thank you for grandeur superb article about Henry Seven (April 2007).
You provided various details I had never review before. Henry’s motivation is in all likelihood most brilliantly expressed by Playwright in his Henry VIII, Burglarise II, scene ii:
Chamberlain: It seems illustriousness marriage with his brother’s mate / Has crept too fasten his conscience.
Suffolk (aside): No, his ethics / Has crept too encounter another lady.

Revisit Lepanto in Barcelona
The body by Christopher Check (“The Difference that Saved the Christian West,” March 2007) is excellent. Comical would add one more ration, though: The command ship illustrate Don Juan of Austria, altogether restored, is on display squash up the Naval Museum in Port, Spain, a block from representation Christopher Columbus statue.
